  • Total Body Tissue % Fat

  • A/G Ratio

This number will help you, your fitness trainer and/or your healthcare team to guide the next best steps in your journey.

No result is complete without a reference range for normal. As such, you will find a guide for your results below (hover over the bar for exact %):

Studies are not yet clear on an ideal Android/Gynoid Ratio. However, there is evidence of a positive correlation between android fat and visceral fat. This means that as android fat increases, the fat on organs increases as well. This is the type of fat known to be associated with diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, vascular disease and more. Gynoid fat can be thought of as nutrition supplementation for growing a baby - often seen in hips, thighs, buttocks and breast tissue. As such, it is more commonly elevated in women. The amount of gynoid fat often decreases after menopause along with increased risk of the diseases mentioned above for women. For these reasons, common references (although not backed by any confirmation through medical research at this time) will guide toward a female A/G ratio of 0.8 and a male A/G ratio of 1.0 as ideal.

Please note that all of these results are based upon percentages and ratios. Therefore, having a healthcare professional to work with is the safest way to approach your wellness journey.
