Can a GLP be done well?
We offer affordable access to
GLP-1 Injections
But, you have IMPORTANT questions.
Such as…
Are those safe?
Does skinnier ACTUALLY mean healthier?
What about muscle mass loss?
Is that cheating?
What about side effects?
Won’t I just have to take it forever or just gain it all back?
I am SO glad you asked!
First, a few rapid fire answers to those questions:
Yes, they can be safe if you don’t have a history of thyroid cancer or neuroendocrine disorder, they are dosed intentionally AND side effects are monitored closely.
No, it’s not cheating. It is a tool that can be used well alongside changes you know need to be made, but you’re not sure how to go about (more on that in a bit).
Yes, any weight loss comes with muscle mass loss…BUT, that is ANY weight loss. The key is giving your body what is needed to build stronger muscles not just more mass.
No, skinnier does NOT mean healthier. Our goal is to help you be well. As such, a medicine may not be needed at all. If one is needed, it should be used to gain wellness…not to further harm your spirit, mind or body (again…more on this in a bit).
Yes, there are side effects. Any GLP will slow your gut down - aka make you more prone to constipation and nausea. Building foundations to prepare for this and intentional dosing can mitigate unwanted side effects (since technically the goal of use is a side effect - weight loss, decreased glucose intolerance, decreased inflammation - you get the picture).
No, you won’t have to take it forever. The goal here is to dose appropriately and intentionally to help you change your habits, choices and lifestyle. Plateaus are good and needed when establishing a new baseline of wellness. This also gives time to retrain your mind and spirit when dealing with the underlying issues of disordered eating that lead to an unwell place when it comes to food and lifestyle choices.

Set yourself up for a life well lived by attending an upcoming
Community Wellness Foundations Event.
You may find that adding a medication is not necessary at all.
This $10 group event is a requirement for anyone looking to possibly start a GLP medication at our low cost.
Simply put, without the right foundation we are all setting ourselves up for failure. To get a flavor of how Dr Kelli approaches medical care and what you can expect at one of these events, watch the video below:
You will learn more at these events, but since were all about clear pricing at Open Hands DPC, here is what you can expect:
• Attend Wellness Foundations: $10
• You will put what you learn into practice for at least 2 weeks. Then, with proof of the event slip, you can schedule a telemed phone call visit with Dr Kelli to discuss your history, any recommended labs and if a GLP could be a good fit. $45
• You can then take these recommendations to your PCP or do labs and follow up through Dr Kelli based upon your preference.
• Once you are ready to try low dose GLP based on your needs/history an in-person visit will be scheduled. Here you will learn how to draw up and deliver the weekly injection. Then you will be given the supplies necessary for at least 3 additional weekly doses based on the dose appropriate for your needs. $300 (that includes the visit and at least 4 total doses).
• Additional follow ups for dose adjustment or to discuss how you are feeling, are at least every 5 weeks or as often as needed until you feel comfortable via telemed text visits $25
• Future scripts of medication will be ordered to keep the cost low. Most patients find that their weekly cost of medicine falls between $17-$33 per week with refills needed every 7-10 weeks.
