Your health and the health of those you love matters to us!

Monthly Preventive Focus: Women’s Health

Did you know?…

  • Self Breast Exams are a MUST. In 2022 a study showed that “the majority of [breast] cancers were found by the patient.”

  • Ladies, get moving and you’ll be helping decrease your cancer risk! A 2006 study showed, “Physical activity protects against ovarian, endometrial and postmenopausal breast cancer, independently of BMI.”

  • Stress is causing a MESS - for gals and guys as it turns out! (Of course you knew that though). More to the point - you are NOT alone. If you’re ready to dig into life change, take a look at this and reach out for a visit.

Kentucky Cancer Link

They can help you (men and women) find access to cancer screenings if finances have caused you to put it off. Check their site out by clicking their logo above. If you’re not sure what to ask about, schedule an appointment and we’ll talk about the screenings that would be appropriate for you.

Beauty in Strength

Skinny does not equal healthy.

One more time, for the ladies in the back…SKINNY DOES NOT EQUAL HEALTHY.

  • Health and wellness can come in many shapes and sizes. Disease can too. The goal is wellness not a pant/shirt size.

  • Excess fat is a marker and cause of inflammation. Yet, fat is not bad (not the fat we eat and not the fat on our bodies). Hormones are built, carried and stored via fat.

  • Focus on strength and mobility for true wellness - spirit, mind and body.

  • Open yourself up to community (even if it is small), because we were created for interaction and there is strength and beauty in supporting one another.

The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
— Proverbs 14:1

Gauging Interest:

I have been entertaining the thought of ladies’ group nights. The basic idea is the chance for a small group of ladies to join me once a month as we discuss and encourage one another to make positive changes for better wellness. If you would be interested in this, please text “I’m interested in a ladies group” to me at 859-359-2142. Inclusion of non-members, date/time, length of group series, special guest speakers and pricing would all be dependent upon the interest and the needs you as a group voice.

Community Prayer Walk

Time and Date: November 2, 2024 5pm

Join us for our 2nd Community Prayer Walk starting at The Clinic - 506 N Maysville St.

If you cannot join in person, we welcome you to join in spirit from your part of our community and send me a text so we know where you are! People of all ages are welcome at this event.
